Hey ya’ll! I’m Sharae Young the owner and creator of Lucid Honey Cosmetics. This company was created out of my love for makeup a sheer desire for a side hustle that turned into my only hustle. My mom is always pushing me to think out of the box and she helps me identify my greatest strengths. As a part of her push she encouraged me to start a small business while working part time at Kroger. I researched and I placed my first order for supplies back in February. When I finally started mixing I had so much fun. Then life changed. The Coronavirus Pandemic hit the US and Georgia was shut down. Did I mention that I am a warrior fighting a battle with Multiple Sclerosis? Well I am. Because of my compromised immune system, my mom went to Kroger to speak with management to explain I would not be able to work during the pandemic. We thought all was well and my job would be secure after the pandemic but around 6 weeks later I received a separation letter. My mom and I were both shocked. That’s when the vision for Lucid Honey Cosmetics became more than a side hustle. With help from my village (family & friends) I am launching my website on National Lipstick Day, July 29, 2020!
